The end of the year is nearly upon us but we can look back at some amazing concerts we gave in 2024 with pride as we re-establish our full show potential. 2025 is looking interesting as we reintroduce several venues that had fallen off our regular schedule due to the Pandemic. Events and shows are slowly coming back onto the scene and we hope to take full advantage of that.
Come back here regularly to keep an eye on where we will be playing next and how the calendar builds up for next year.
Our show in Alsager in October was a great success where a considerable amount of money was raised for the Christie Charity. One comment was that "it was the best night out (we've had) in ages". We hope to return next year to raise even more money for good causes.
The final show of the year is at St George's Church, somewhat nearer to home, in Altrincham, opposite the Cresta Court Hotel at 2:30PM on 1st December. This is in collaboration with the Di Voci Ladies Choir - a show not to be missed. Tickets available on the door.
We are immensely proud that the band has surpassed it's 50th year and we are determined to continue to bring the best of entertainment to you for many more years to come. We hope to see you at one of our shows soon.
Dec 1st 2:30PM St George's Church, Church Walk, Altrincham, WA14 4DB
(As part of a Concert Organised by the Di Voci Choir)
Tickets are available via the Choir's website here
The Ashton-on-Mersey Showband has been playing music to the people of the North-West of England since it began in 1973. It has played in countries across Europe and in America and raised almost £1,000,000 for UK charities. It currently comprises of over 30 musicians of outstanding calibre, who give their time and efforts for free. Click here for more of our history.
If you play an instrument we feature in the band, contact us. We recommend you should be comfortable reading and playing written music to ABRSM Grade 5 standard to really enjoy our arrangements although this is not a requirement to join. The ethos of the band is to play good music and enjoy ourselves.
