Welcome

Welcome to the Ashton-on-Mersey Showband website

Summer is upon us and we are taking a well earned break from concerts and rehearsals for a few weeks. We'll be back rehearsing in September ready for our remaining shows of the year.

Come back here regularly to keep an eye on where we will be playing next and how the calendar builds up for this year and next.

We understand how charities and benevolent societies require constant fund raising, especially in today's world, so please contact us if you feel one of our show programmes could help your particular fund raising efforts. Review our history and recordings pages for an idea of the type of music we play but we will work with you to curate a suitable programme from our extensive library of over 1000 numbers.

We are immensely proud that the band has surpassed it's 50th year and we are determined to continue to bring the best of entertainment to you for many more years to come. We hope to see you at one of our shows soon.

A little bit about us...

It currently comprises of over 30 musicians of outstanding calibre, who give their time and efforts for free. Click here for more of our history.

Joining the Band

If you play an instrument we feature in the band, contact us. We recommend you should be comfortable reading and playing written music to ABRSM Grade 5 standard to really enjoy our arrangements although this is not a requirement to join. The ethos of the band is to play good music and enjoy ourselves.
